It looks like we will have a rather warm and humid beginning of summer camp at GMS. This first week of TheManor School’s summer program will be full of excitement! Over the next six weeks you should see your child grow both socially and even academically. Our summer program begins with a focus on the ocean and its inhabitants. The children study fish, shells, sea birds, marine mammals, and the beach. We transition to a Caribbean cruise and learn about pirates with a focus on fun stories and we even go on a treasure hunt! Art, crafts, and papers will reflect this emphasis as we help develop your child’s fine and gross motor skills, visual and auditory memory, and letter and number recognition. Phonics, reading, and math will be gently emphasized at all levels.
Tuition is due when camp starts. If your child is enrolled in the full day eight week program, you may make two four week payments. Please include what program your child is in on your check memo. There are several enrichment programs available to different aged children this summer. Please check your emails to see what might interest your child!
Send a backpack with your child each day the contains a full change of clothes and a crib-sized blanket, if needed for nap. Your child’s pencil box will stay at school for daily use. It helps if book bags, lunch boxes and extra clothing are clearly marked with your child’s name.
Moms and Dads – It is your responsibility to putsunscreen and/or insect repellent on your child as needed before he/she leaves home in the morning.Although we try very hard to be sure each child in protected, sometimes we may miss a spot. Maybe together we can cover everything.
PHYSICALS ARE DUE BY JULY 28. I MUST HAVE YOUR CHILD’S IMMUNIZATION RECORD FOR YOUR CHILD TO START.
WE WILL BE CLOSED MONDAY, JULY 5th FOR INDEPENDENCE DAY.
Looks like fun!
