May ’25
Director’s Desk
We can’t believe the school year is beginning to come to a close! Everything seems sunnier as we are now enjoying more time outside and summer is just around the corner. May will surely prove to be busy with classes finishing up their full last month of school, focusing on spring and Dr. Seuss. As a reminder, please make sure we have a permission slip on file if would like for us to apply a school-supplied sunblock on your child. Thank you for all your continued support throughout the school year!
Best, Kristine
Teacher Appreciation Week
May 5th – 9th is teacher appreciate week. We have something special planned for our teachers each day and invite you to join us in honoring their hard work and dedication. Feel free to have your child send in a handwritten card, a flower from your garden, or anything else they think their teacher will love.
Lost & Found
Our lost and found basket is overflowing again! Are you missing anything? Hats? Jackets? Water bottles?
Please check out the basket in our lobby and claim your items!
Change of Clothes
Please swap out your students’ spare change of clothes (the set that is kept in their bookbag) for a seasonably appropriate outfit.
Summer Camp
Summer camp begins on June 23rd and runs for 8 weeks, concluding on August 15th. Please return your registration form as soon as possible. Two-day, three-day, five day (full and half day) spots still available.
Enrollment / Parent Agreements
If your student will be returning to Bellamy for the 2025 – 2026 School year, please log into your Brightwheel account and make sure you have completed your 2025 Enrollment Form and your Parent Agreement. Students will not be able to start if this is not completed.
Lobby Upgrade
We hope you all have had a chance to come into the building and see the new floors and painting we received over the spring break! It was so refreshing and exciting to come back to!
What we are learning
2’s – Ms. Ariella and Ms. Yanira’s classes continue to help our youngest children with the exciting process of learning and spending time on mastering their shapes.
3’s – The three-year-old classes will learn all about spring! They will investigate bugs and the season of spring through a lot of hands-on activities and outside time!
4’s – The four-year-old classes will study Dr. Seuss and all his zany characters. The Cat and Hat and all his friends-Thigwick, Bartholomew, Horton and Yertle the Turtle become our vehicles of learning.
PRK – In April, our PRK classes learned all about Birds of Prey. They will now focus on tropical Rainforests. They become aware of the unique ecosystem as well as an expert on bugs, snakes, and other habitats.
Kindergarten – Kindergarten has an exciting month! Mrs. Hobbs class will be learning about the stages of plant development, butterfly development, and frog development through hands-on learning. Academically, many are learning long vowel sounds and spelling. As spring progresses, we plan to incorporate creative writing weekly.
