May ’25
Director’s Desk
Spring is now in full force, and we are enjoying watching your children soak up this wonderful weather! The children are helping plant and water new veggies and herbs in the garden, soon they will be able to share with you. They are excited to share the signs of spring.
The end of the school year is fast approaching and with it comes the various activities that signal the onset of summer. Spring Music Programs and Conferences, baseball games, Mother’s Day, dance recitals, and late evenings all herald the end of our year together.
Thank you once again for sharing your children with us. It’s such a pleasure to watch them grow. If you have any questions or concerns, we’re only a phone call away.
Sincerely,
Betsey Cremin
Conference Day: May 20th
This is a day to discuss your child’s academic and social progress at BBMS with their teacher! Report cards will be sent home the Friday before Conference Day for you to review. School is open for all-day children only.
You will receive a link through Brightwheel to select a time that best works for you.
Reminders about Brightwheel:
- New Forms: The forms required for the final step of registration for the summer and next school year have been sent through Brightwheel. You will need to log on to Brightwheel to complete and submit the forms.
- Have you moved? Have new people picking up? Have an update to allergies? Please update your child’s Brightwheel profile to reflect any changes.
- Brightwheel is the best way to communicate with teachers and administration. Let us know about if your child is going to be absent or if they are not feeling well.
What We Are Learning
2’s– Ms. Kristin and Ms. Bre will dive into the many shapes that make up the world around us. They will explore individual shapes as well as what can be made when we put the many shapes together. Get ready for lots of fun food, games, books, and crafts to reinforce the shape of the day!
3’s– The month of May takes Ms. Stacy, Ms. Aisha, and Ms. Jennifer’s classes outside! The three-year-olds investigate the many changes of spring. We take a look at plants, animals, and BUGS!
4’s– Our fantasy-oriented fours will continue their sojourn in the land of make believe. They discover the world of castles, dragons, princesses and knights this month. Medieval knights and fairy princesses come alive for them, and they’ll find that most dragons are rather sensitive and lovable creatures. The children finish the unit with a royal ball fit for any king or queen. The four’s indulge in fantasy to their hearts content.
Pre-k– The PreK class continues to be environmentally aware as they focus their attention on birds of prey. Children will learn why the hawk has a hooked beak and toes with strong, curved talons. Where does the Osprey live and what do they eat? Learning is so much fun!
K– Kindergarten has an exciting month. Mrs. Profilet’s class will be learning about the stages of plant development, butterfly development, and frog development using a complete hands-on approach. The kindergarten rooms have become laboratories where seeds sprout, caterpillars spin cocoons, and tadpole’s metamorphosis into frogs.
